Insanity Radio is ready. Following years of work and some very recent and significant developments, such as the successful test transmissions on 103.2 FM, Insanity will officially begin broadcasting as a Community FM Station in a fortnight’s time.
The Launch Week will take place between 5 - 10 March and will include a variety of exciting events. During this time, the winner of Insanity’s recent logo competition, which saw entries from members of the community and students alike, will be announced and the winning entry will be revealed as part of our massive rebranding process.
Insanity will also have the pleasure of introducing a brand new website to make the listening and contribution process more straightforward and to attract new listeners to our fantastic range of shows.
As a Community FM station, Insanity aims to extend its listenership as far across the surrounding area as possible and to actively engage young people from further afield than Royal Holloway. As part of our Launch Week, we will be inviting local residents to come and get involved with our events at RHUL, as well as organising some fun off-campus events such as music gigs. We are already working with local schools and youth groups to offer training opportunities to local people interested in radio and media, and aim to continue and expand on this in the coming months and years.
In the meantime, we are hugely excited about the prospect of shifting to 103.2 FM, though we will continue to broadcast on 1287 AM and online, and we hope that as many people as possible will want to join us in celebrating.

Mission: Launch on Wednesday, 7 March at the SU
(A Space-themed SU night complete with Insanity DJs and a Live Broadcast to cover Insanity’s OFFICIAL SWITCHOVER to 103.2 FM at MIDNIGHT)
Antidote: Music is the Cure/Election Results Night on Saturday, 10 March at Medicine
(This will include Live acts, bands and DJ’s as well as the announcement of the Executive Committee, RAG and Media elections for the coming academic year. Insanity will be Live Broadcasting and hosting the evening)
