This afternoon at midday, voting for the four SURHUL sabbatical positions ended after five days of campaigning.

The four positions being voted for are Students’ Union President, Vice President (Communications and Campaigns), Vice President (Education and Welfare) and Vice President (Student Activities).

Following five days of intense canvassing from 160 students, ballot boxes closed at Crosslands, Bedford Library and the Students’ Union Building. Sixteen candidates will now retreat to an agonising wait for the results later tonight.

The sealed ballot boxes will be taken to a secret location and the votes will be counted by approximately fourteen impartial members of the Students’ Union. The Deputy Returning officer from our NUS regional zone will also officiate.
