Now I know this isn’t a book, but it’s bloody good. This may primarily be because I miss studying history, but even if you don’t it’s so useful and interesting!

BBC History Magazine

This month’s instalment contains the story of toilet man Thomas Crapper, who didn’t actually invent the toilet! There are moving piece about the voices of the Holocaust, and a fascinating insight into the Royal Society and their revolutionary ideas on science.

There are always book reviews and reviews on current movies, and exciting places to visit or things to go and see. From a purely academic perspective, whether you are studying English, History, Politics, Geography or even science there will always be something helpful and good for a word-count-increasing reference.
